The Assemblies of God (AG), founded in 1914, has experienced 24 consecutive years of growth in the United States through 2014, despite declining attendance in many other North American evangelical denominations. The AG has an all-time high of 12,792 churches today with a high priority given to planting new churches. In the past four years, 1408 new AG churches have been planted in the U.S.
The AG adherents include 20% Latino adherents, with total ethnic minorities of over 40%. Millennials (ages 18-34) have made up 21% of AG growth in the past 12 years. Total AG adherents in the U.S. number 3,127,857.
